Lucille or “Lucy” is a multimedia journalist with experience covering justice, higher education, and policy in California. She is a junior studying Political Science, Communications and Professional Writing at UCLA. Bicoastal by nature, she grew up in San Francisco and now reports from Washington, D.C.
She uses an equity-driven lens to investigate stories of under-covered communities and institutional powers by bringing diverse voices into the narrative. Her articles have appeared in The Marin Independent Journal, Street Sense Media, The Nation, and more.
With a passion for hyper-local politics, she has experience working in legislative offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
